Maintenance and Application of Industrial Waste Management Information System of 2018 and 2019

This project assists the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) in promoting activities concerning the management of industrial waste, and maintaining the operation of relevant information systems. The project of this year included sixty-one tasks which could be divided into four parts: system optimization, expanding the controlled waste clearance vehicles which should be equipped with GPS, free consulting line services, and data compilation and administrative support.
For system development, operation records and monthly report were updated by the use of .NET Framework version4.5 as had been planned in 2016. 256 programs were therefore updated, and system security and maintainability were also improved. Due to the amendment to the Waste Disposal Act, adjustments were made to the application for Industrial Waste Disposal Plan and examination functions, and reuse registration was included into WDP by revising system. Besides, some processes and functions were simplified including reporting process, setup for overall controlled waste codes, production report, storage report and manifest document. About 39,000 facilities were estimated to be benefited from these changes.
